JUNIOR PROGRAM (Ages 10-13) Each student will explore dramatic principles through workshops andparticipation in one of the following two productions: The Velveteen Rabbit Story by Margery Williams Adapted for the stage by Thomas Olson "When a child loves you for a long, long time...then you become Real." In this extraordinary tale of love and devotion, a toy rabbit discovers what it takes to become real. Roald Dahl¹s "Willy Wonka Junior" A Musical “Who can take tomorrow, dip it in a dream, separate the sorrow and collect up all the cream? The candyman can.” Roald Dahl¹s timeless story of the world-famous candy man and his quest to find an heir comes to life in this stage adaptation of Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, which features the songs from the classic family film Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory. HIGH SCHOOL CONSERVATORY (Ages 14-18) Students will explore Tlingit Heritage, Performance and Acting through workshops and participation in the High School Conservatory production. Raven Steals The Sun, Moon and the Stars By Ishmael Hope High School Alaska Native Play “Tsu heen taax gagu. Go into the water again.” Students partner with theatre artists from Perseverance Theatre and cultural knowledge bearers from Sealaska Heritage Institute to perform an original play based on a traditional Tlingit story.
