The Resurrection of Alice

Join us on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, 7:30pm on the Perseverance Theatre Mainstage for a special performance by Perri Gaffney. Her one-woman show explores a little known past tradition of arranged marriages in the African American community.
15 year-old Alice is the first in her family to earn a four-year scholarship to college, but must marry the family benfactor, Mr. Tucker, instead . . . and he's old enough to be her grandfather.
Her trials and triumphs can mend a broken heart and cause a tormented soul to live again.
Perri Gaffney plays 'Half George' in the Mainstage production of the road weeps, the well runs dry.
